Chief Warrant Officer 3 (Retired) Larry P. Johnson is a native of Franklin, Louisiana. Prior to enlisting in the Army in November 1996, Larry attended McNeese State University and University of Southwest Louisiana (USL). Upon enlistment in the United States Army, Larry was awarded the job, Human Resources Management which focus was providing superb customer service. Larry served honorably as a senior Non-Commissioned Officer, achieving the rank of Sergeant First Class, before joining the Warrant Officer Cohort. He was appointed as a warrant officer in August 2007 and retired October 2017. Larry holds an associate in Business Management, a bachelor’s in human resource management and a master’s in business administration.

Larry came from a family full of cooks and grew up watching his mom, aunts, uncles, and grandmother prepare large family meals. While enrolled in college, Larry realized his love for cooking and would often call home and get recipes for cooking certain dishes and invite friends over to eat. It was something about the love and togetherness that came from food that Larry credits to his successful military journey. Larry recalls cooking for his friends and soldiers on the weekends and seeing everyone having a great time. It was then that Larry knew the business he wanted to pursue after the military had to be surrounded by good times, good people, and good food. Larry believes that it was something about the experience that always kept families together. Sunday meals at Grandma's house.

Our Love For Food

Larry and his wife, Wendy, a veteran, started their business venture as an event company. The concept was to travel and be surrounded by the Louisiana culture, good food, and good people having a good Ole time. Shortly after starting the business, Larry and Wendy noticed that they were getting calls for pan-size meal requests and then catering for military functions. After doing research, Larry and Wendy realized a void in authentic Cajun-creole food in the North Alabama area. Most Larry and Wendy customers started with word of mouth from family and friends. Larry is married to his best friend of 19 years, Wendy, and they have three lovely daughters.
